Alisha Lehmann has revealed her toughest ever opponent and the best player she ever played with, and both stars still play in the WSL.
This season has been interesting to say the least for Alisha Lehmann.
The Switzerland international moved from Juventus to Serie A rivals, Como, in the summer.
Lehmann is yet to score a league goal for her new club and she has enjoyed mixed form since moving across Italy.
The 26-year-old was also involved in drama away from the pitch, as Lehmann had her house near Lake Como burgled.
Como’s summer signing released a statement following the incident, syaing: “Next time people rob my house, can you please clean up after, cause I’ve got OCD. As someone that likes organisation and cleanliness, the Swiss now faces confusion and mess.”
Speaking ahead of the final international break this year, Lehmann was full of praise for some WSL stars.
When asked about who she thinks has been the toughest opponent to play against so far in her career, Lehmann didn’t hesitate: “I think Millie Bright.”
Bright recently broke the WSL record for most appearances in the competition as she surpassed Jordan Nobbs on 211 caps for Chelsea.
The Como star also named former Aston Villa teammate Rachel Daly as the best player she has ever played alongside.
Daly was captain for Villa before Lehmann joined the club and she still leads the team now after the Switzerland star departed.
Lehmann also discussed her personal ambitions for the future, saying she would much rather win the World Cup than the Ballon d’Or.
Switzerland face Belgium and Wales in their final international games of the year and hopes are high for Lehmann as she looks o break into the starting lineup.
