Alisha Lehmann has trained with Leicester City players ahead of an announcement that she has joined the Foxes from Italian side Como.
The Switzerland international returns to the Women’s Super League after previous stints with Aston Villa, Everton and West Ham.
SheKicks’ sources indicate that the transfer will be announced by Friday.
As reported by The Athletic, Lehmann travelled to Leicester City’s training ground on Wednesday and has trained with the club’s first team players.
Leicester have been pursuing a move for Lehmann throughout the January transfer window.
Lehmann missed Como’s last match with Napoli, heightening speculation that she could be set to join the Foxes.
It remains unclear at this point whether the move will be permanent or a loan until the end of the season.
However, Lehmann has struggled for starts throughout her time in Italy.
Lehmann will bring a lot of exposure to Leicester City, both on and off the pitch.
She is one of the most famous players in women’s football, as shown by the fact that she is the most followed player in women’s football. Lehmann has over 16 million followers on the social media platform Instagram.

On the pitch, she will also bring plenty of experience to a Leicester City side that has already targeted players with WSL experience.
Ashleigh Neville joined from Tottenham, Rachel Williams arrived from Manchester United, and Sarah Mayling joined on loan from Aston Villa.
Lehmann could make her debut for the Foxes in the WSL, when they face a struggling West Ham side on Sunday.
Leicester sit ninth in the WSL standings, with nine points from 12 games. They sit five points clear of bottom-placed side Liverpool, who remain without a league win this season.
Since joining Como this past summer, Lehmann has made just three league starts for the Italian side.
She did make 18 appearances for Juventus last season during their title-winning campaign. However, she was more often than not used as an impact substitute.
She joined Juventus from Aston Villa in 2024 at the same time as her then partner, Douglas Luiz. The pair split up during their time at Juventus, and Luiz returned to the Premier League with Nottingham Forest this season.
Lehmann saw her home in Italy burgled back in November, after she previously suffered a break-in during her time in Turin.
