Alisson says he had a signed agreement with Corinthians, yet the move collapsed and he has joined Fluminense. He said the reasons were unclear and that his agent even offered to cover the loan fee.
According to Meu Timao, Corinthians and São Paulo agreed a R$ 1.5 million loan, R$ 1 million upfront and R$ 500,000 in the second half of 2026. The deal carried a €2.5 million option, €250,000 after 25 appearances of at least 45 minutes, and a R$ 2 million clause for any Majestoso appearance.
He could not be registered for the Paulistão because he was already listed by São Paulo. Football executive Marcelo Paz said Corinthians stepped back, while the club denied a funding shortfall despite debt near R$ 2.8 billion.
Dorival Júnior publicly praised the midfielder during talks and outlined his role, but later confirmed discussions had ended.
Corinthians hosted Alisson at CT Dr. Joaquim Grava, but prioritised other liabilities, including sums owed to Toluca for Pedro Raul and a roughly R$ 32 million debt to Talleres over Rodrigo Garro. Talleres president Andrés Fassi has described talks as advanced, and another transfer ban remains a risk.
The club recently paid about R$ 28 million towards the Neo Química Arena. It is also due to make March’s RCE instalment, four percent of February revenue, about R$ 2.3 million. In April a roughly R$ 7 million CNRD payment falls due on a liability above R$ 76 million, with a national transfer ban possible if missed.
