Which squads are worth the most in this season's Championship?
With there being a strong mix of clubs on an upward curve and those who have fallen from great heights in this season's Championship, it has created a wide-open division to call this time around.
However, it must be said that, especially when comparing the resources of specific clubs within the second tier, a financial disparity very much remains due to an array of factors.
There are a handful of sides who have tasted the riches of Premier League football far more recently than others - especially some who have endured spells in League One within the past decade - which has created an argument that the gap between clubs in the Championship is potentially as high as it's ever been in recent times, never mind comparing those at the top end of the division to those who have become established within the top-flight.
With that in mind, though, Football League World, using reported figures from Transfermarkt, has ranked each of the 24 clubs in order of how much their squads are said to be worth after being converted from Euros into Pounds.
It may come as little surprise to see Sheffield Wednesday as the club with the division's lowest squad value of approximately £17.12m.
That is despite an astounding belief from controversial owner, Dejphon Chansiri, that all combined facets of the club are worth nigh on £100m as supporters long for his reign at Hillsborough to come to a swift end.
It is also somewhat unsurprising that the highest-valued player among Henrik Pedersen's threadbare squad is the highly-rated Harry Amass, who is currently on loan from Manchester United.
Despite making a steady return to the Championship, Charlton Athletic are believed to have the second-lowest squad value with an approximate figure of £22.13m.
With a lack of financial muscle in comparison to many divisional rivals, Nathan Jones' side were tipped for relegation by many at the beginning of the season. Yet, so far, the Welshman and his side are proving those skeptics wrong with an impressive string of results.
At present, the player with the greatest value at The Valley is summer signing, Charlie Kelman, who moved from QPR for a fee which could rise up to £5m.
Next up is Oxford United, with Gary Rowett's squad having an overall value of £30.99m.
Once again, the U's were among several picks for relegation, but have put up a strong fight in several matches thus far, albeit only one victory has been recorded.
It is stated that Deadline Day loan signing, Filip Krastev, who joined from Lommel SK, is the man with the highest valuation at the Kassam Stadium.
Blackburn Rovers are said to have the fourth-lowest squad value in the Championship after a major squad overhaul in Valerien Ismael's first pre-season at Ewood Park.
A combined worth of £32.89m is also reflective of their current position in the table too, although supporters will hope that such fortunes improve after last season's close miss on the play-off places.
Unsurprisingly, Todd Cantwell is the man with the greatest valuation at Rovers right now, and the 27-year-old has certainly proven his worth in the early weeks of the season with four goals in eight league appearances.
Portsmouth currently have a squad value of £33.2m under John Mousinho, with the highly-rated head coach adding to his ranks with several smart signings across the summer.
Despite not having the greatest financial muscle in the division, Pompey are looking to make strong upward progress after initially consolidating last term.
At present, Ipswich Town loanee, Conor Chaplin, has the highest valuation at Fratton Park after making an emotional return to his boyhood club.
Although the club's squad value is approximately £37.2m, Paul Heckingbottom is looking to make Preston North End play-off material in his first full season at Deepdale.
The ex-Sheffield United boss knows what is required to be successful at this level after gaining promotion in the Steel City, albeit with much greater financial resources.
North End fought tooth-and-nail to land the loan services of Alfie Devine from Tottenham Hotspur in the summer, and he is currently the man with the highest individual value at the club.
Queens Park Rangers entered a new era following the appointment of Julien Stephan in June, with the Frenchman having £41.62m's worth of talent to work with at Loftus Road.
After years of mid-table obscurity, there is a belief that Rangers can finally challenge for a top-six berth this term after responding to a 7-1 demolition at Coventry City in impressive fashion.
Although Stephan is yet to really utilise his creative flair, Moroccan playmaker Ilias Chair remains the highest-valued player among the Hoops' ranks after continuing to stay loyal to the club.
Derby County were also extremely active during John Eustace's first transfer window at Pride Park, with the Rams' entire squad said to be worth £45.08m.
After preserving their Championship status on the final day of last season, the Rams are, over time, aiming to return to their previous position as play-off contenders following a period of financial worries.
It will come as no surprise that, after investing potentially £7.3m into his services, USMNT striker Patrick Agyemang tops the valuation charts in this part of the East Midlands.
Millwall's overall squad under Alex Neil is reported to have a valuation of £47.46m.
In what is the Scot's first full season at The Den, the Lions have been able to reinvest hefty fees garnered by the sales of Romain Esse and Japhet Tanganga into a well-rounded side that can challenge for the play-offs.
One of those summer recruits was boyhood supporter Alfie Doughty from Luton Town, with the creative full-back edging Will Smallbone as the club's highest-valued player at present.
Hull City had to operate shrewdly this summer following Sergej Jakirovic's appointment.
Despite a transfer fee restriction being imposed by the EFL, the Tigers' overall squad value remains an impressive figure of £49.11m.
Two players currently top the list when it comes to the highest-valued at the MKM Stadium in the form of Besiktas loanee, Amir Hadziahmetovic and Ryan Giles, who has reignited his creative spark under the Bosnian.
