Allan has arrived at Corinthians in strong shape and will start on the bench against Red Bull Bragantino on Thursday, with a debut possible later in the match.

According to Globo.com, the club’s sixth signing of the season is in contention for the third round match at Neo Química Arena in Itaquera. Kick-off is 20:00 Brasília time, and he has the backing of head coach Dorival Júnior.

He had been training fully at Flamengo, even appearing in the Campeonato Carioca, so no extra conditioning is required at CT Joaquim Grava. His first session with the squad impressed coaches and earned him a place in the matchday group.

Staff were keen on the move after Maycon’s departure to Atlético-MG left a gap in midfield for passing, ball-winning and coverage. José Martínez’s injury made the need more pressing.

He is viewed primarily as a holding midfielder responsible for screening and transitioning play. He has also operated higher up the pitch.

Allan has previously played in Finland, Belgium, Germany and Cyprus. In Brazil he has represented Fluminense, Atlético-MG and Flamengo, winning the Brasileiro and the Conmebol Libertadores last year. Despite 33 appearances for Flamengo last year, he later fell out of favour and was made available.

The deal is a cost-free loan until the end of 2026, with Corinthians covering his full wages. Flamengo have set a 2 million euros option to buy, around R$ 12.29 million at today’s rate.
