Allan Saint-Maximin hails Jean-Louis Leca as bond helps his Lens move

Allan Saint-Maximin has highlighted his long-standing bond with Jean-Louis Leca, now Lens sporting director, as a factor in his winter move. According to L'Équipe, the winger paid tribute to his former Bastia team-mate in a social media message.

He left Club América in late January after denouncing racism suffered by his children in Mexico.

On Monday evening he wrote on Instagram that he would do anything for Leca, tagging him in the post.

The pair were team-mates at Bastia in 2016-2017, when Leca was still a goalkeeper.

In early July, on Zack en roue libre, Saint-Maximin described Leca as an exceptional person who helped him settle and offered strong support. He said he received a great deal of affection and would always be grateful.
