Massimiliano Allegri has assured supporters that Rafael Leao, Mike Maignan and Christian Pulisic are recovering well and are not expected to be sidelined for too much longer, but only one of them is likely to feature when Milan take on Udinese in Serie A this weekend.
Leao has not yet played in Serie A this term after picking up an injury during the first-round Coppa Italia victory over Bari in October. Maignan was forced off with a calf issue during Milan’s 1-0 win over Bologna last weekend, while Pulisic was not included in the starting line-up on that occasion.
Speaking in his pre-match press conference ahead of Milan’s upcoming test against Udinese on Saturday, Allegri confirmed that Pulisic is in line to feature, but Maignan is more likely to return to action in the Coppa Italia against Lecce on Tuesday.

Leao, meanwhile, is targeting a return to action for the exciting fixture between Milan and Napoli on September 28.
“Leao is progressing well, we hope to have him available for Napoli,” Allegri told reporters on Friday.
“Maignan is fine, he’s doing well. He’ll be in goal against Lecce on Tuesday,” he added.
When asked for further details on the conditions of Leao and Pulisic, Allegri said: “Leao will definitely not be there against Lecce, we hope to have him back for Napoli. Pulisic is much better, he came on (against Bologna) and did well. I’ll decide tomorrow whether to start him or have him on the bench.
“Hopefully, as it was last Sunday, the subs will make a big contribution to the team.”
