After their excellent performance against Stuttgart, Gian Piero Gasperini’s Roma will host Allegri’s AC Milan at the Stadio Olimpico.
The Rossoneri are currently four points ahead, but a victory for the Roman side could reopen the gap and boost confidence ahead of the upcoming big matches.
Meanwhile, Massimiliano Allegri spoke at a press conference ahead of the match: “The owners’ visit was a great pleasure for everyone. It’s a very important moment of the season because we’re playing for our seasonal objective. It was a welcome visit; we had a nice chat.”
“Tomorrow we’ll face a team that’s fighting with us, and Gasperini is doing an excellent job, and Roma reflects that, because they’re good both offensively and defensively.”
Allegri then spoke about the condition of former player Saelemaekers: “Today we’ll have our last training session, but Saelemaekers was much better yesterday, and today I’ll evaluate whether to start him.”
“Gimenez will be an important asset for the end of the season, while Leao is dealing with adductor discomfort. Leao has an inflamed adductor, but he’s playing on it and doing well. He’s improved, but he still has to improve; it’s difficult for a talented player to be consistent for 90 minutes.”
