Ally McCoist tips Arsenal to win at least two trophies

Ally McCoist believes this should be another successful season for Arsenal and thinks the Gunners should be able to win at least two domestic trophies.

Arsenal could have achieved that last season after reaching the final of the Carabao Cup, but they were beaten by Manchester City before eventually clinching the Premier League title. They also reached the final of the Champions League and now want to become European champions by the end of this term.

However, the Champions League would be the hardest trophy for Arsenal to win. The Gunners know that no season is easy and have prepared themselves to face serious obstacles, but winning the league title last campaign has given them plenty of confidence.

The current Arsenal team has what it takes to compete against anyone, and as they challenge on four fronts, they could potentially take the next step and win the quadruple. McCoist believes winning two trophies is a realistic possibility.

McCoist Backs Arsenal for Two Trophies

Arsenal have already shown that they can compete for major honours, and their Premier League success last season gives them a strong platform to build on during the current campaign.

The Gunners will have to maintain their level across four competitions if they are to challenge for every available trophy. Their Champions League campaign could prove particularly demanding because of the quality of the other contenders.

McCoist believes Arsenal should be able to add a domestic cup to their league ambitions, while he expects the European competition to provide a greater challenge.

Champions League Could Prove Tougher

McCoist says via Football365:

“You’ve got to fancy Arsenal for a domestic cup as well. The Champions League will be tougher this year because teams like Barcelona, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, and PSG will all be strong contenders.

“To answer the question, I think Arsenal will win the league and a domestic cup this season, let’s see how it pans out in Europe.”

The Gunners will hope their confidence from last season can help them handle the demands of another campaign across four fronts. Their ambitions remain high, with the possibility of adding further silverware to their collection.
