Here is everything you need to know ahead of our first Women’s fixture at the Etihad Stadium this season!

The wait is nearly over, City are heading to the Etihad Stadium for our Barclays Women’s Super League clash with Arsenal on Sunday 4 October, with kick-off set for 16:30 (UK).

Andrée Jeglertz’s side have begun our title defence in style, earning four wins from four to see us sit at the Barclays Women’s Super League summit as the only team to maintain a 100% record.

And Sunday’s opponent, Arsenal, will be hoping to return to winning ways following their 1-0 defeat to Chelsea sees them sit seventh with five points.

Our latest league assignment against the Gunners is set to be another thrilling match-up, with tickets for the game are still available here.

It promises to be a special Sunday afternoon, with plenty happening before the action gets under way.

Here is all you need to know about the key events around the Etihad…

14:15 – Medlock Square Fanzone opens

Our brand-new Medlock Square Fanzone will be open from 14:15 (UK). Inside there will be activities for all ages on offer with food and drink options available from the Brickworks Market Hall, City Hall, Blend, Little Beast and Three Rivers.

Enjoy activities for everyone, including table tennis, table football and foot pool, plus face painting, hair braiding and balloon modelling.

Pick up foam fingers and bucket hats at the Barclays pop-up and enjoy live music from our roaming band before heading into the Etihad Stadium.

It is the perfect place to meet friends and family whilst you soak up the pre-match atmosphere!

14:30 – Blue Carpet Experience

Fans can welcome the team bus as it arrives at the stadium by joining in at our Blue Carpet Experience.

Make sure you arrive early and get into position so you don’t miss the players making their way into the Etihad at 14:50 (UK).

We will have a DJ set from Jamie Anne to help bring the best pre-match music as well as roaming activities such as face painters and balloon modellers for you to enjoy.

15:00 – Gates open

From 15:00 (UK), you can head into the Etihad Stadium and continue to enjoy the pre-match atmosphere from inside the ground.

16:10 – The countdown begins

Make sure you are in your seat for our special pre-match ceremony as we build up to kick-off.

Enjoy the atmosphere from the stands and get ready to welcome the players onto the pitch for this one-off matchday occasion.

16:30 – Kick-off

Watch City Women in action against Arsenal in what promises to be an unforgettable afternoon at the Etihad Stadium.

Half-time – Revolut Wheel of Wishes

The popular Revolut Wheel of Wishes is heading to the Etihad Stadium!

One lucky fan will have the opportunity to spin the wheel at half-time and win some incredible prizes.

Food and drink

A range of food and drink options will be available around the Etihad Stadium, with Medlock Square bars and restaurants also open, such as Brickworks Market Hall, which will be open from 14:00 and after the final whistle (22:00).
