According to El Correo, Alvaro Djaló has been called up by Guinea-Bisáu for friendlies against Tanzania on 25 September and Nigeria on 29 September.
Djaló received his first Guinea-Bisáu call in October 2025, making his debut against Egypt in World Cup qualifying. He started, played 60 minutes, and the team lost 1-0.
Born in Madrid to Guinean parents, he delayed joining the African side in case a Spain chance arrived. At the time he noted he had not represented Spain at youth level and did not rule out a future opportunity.
At club level this season he has had practically no minutes and seems not to have convinced Terzic after his loan at Al Gharafa.
To date he has only featured for the final nine minutes at the Camp Nou, where Barcelona won 2-0, coming on to give Guruzeta a rest.
