Amanda Staveley is in the middle of a power struggle at West Ham, while Charlton are up for sale
Darragh MacAnthony has claimed that Amanda Staveley should be looking to buy Charlton Athletic instead of West Ham.
The former Newcastle United minority shareholder is currently involved in a power struggle at the London Stadium.
It’s been reported by the Times that she is seeking a deal to purchase the Gold family’s 25.1 percent stake of the Championship side following their relegation.
However, current shareholder Daniel Kretinsky is also looking to gain more control of the London outfit, and it remains to be seen what will happen next.
Meanwhile, it was claimed earlier this week by the Guardian that Global Fan Partners (GFP) have put Charlton up for sale just three years after completing their takeover of the club.
The Addicks have been through a number of different owners in recent years, and they could be set to change hands again in the near future.

MacAnthony has questioned why Staveley wants to get involved in the ownership situation at West Ham, instead telling her to invest in Charlton.
The Peterborough United owner believes the power struggle behind the scenes with the Hammers won’t be worth the hassle for the 53-year-old, especially as she likely won’t have much of a say about how the club is run.
"I don’t know why she wants to get involved in all of that,” said MacAnthony, via Talksport.
“If she wants to buy in and get a club, go down the road to Charlton.
"I know it’s not West Ham, West Ham’s Stadium and all of that, but why would you want a quarter of a club and then have all that drama about not having a say, not getting on the board potentially, being at each other’s throats from day one? West Ham fans don’t need that.
"I don’t know about the matching rights because the problem she’s going to have is that since he’s got matching rights to take those shares from the Gold family and he’s got matching rights to stop (David) Sullivan selling to A, B or C.
"Well then this guy’s a very wealthy guy. I don’t know why he hasn’t done it.
“I don’t know why there hasn’t been a deal done."
GFP have overseen Charlton’s rise back to the Championship since taking over the club, but they do not control their home stadium the Valley.
And it’s now been claimed that the group are looking to cash in at a significantly higher value than the £15 million they paid to purchase the London outfit.
However, it remains to be seen whether they will be able to find investors, although MacAnthony has suggested there will be plenty of people lining up to buy the Addicks.
Kretinsky is reportedly looking to block Staveley from purchasing the Gold family’s stake in West Ham.
The Czech businessman has agreed to sell two percent of his shares in the Hammers in a bid to buy the 25.1 percent owned by Vanessa Gold.
Staveley has struck a deal to buy this stake in the club, but Kretinsky has matching rights that allow him to pre-empt the move.
But it remains to be seen whether he will be able to match the £150 million agreement between the Gold family and Staveley.

Staveley only held around five percent of Newcastle United previously, so if she wants a more involved stake then a club like Charlton should be quite appealing.
Given she is looking to buy a quarter of West Ham for around £150 million, the 53-year-old could buy all of Charlton for less than that.
The Addicks are also a club with a lot of potential, even though they do not own their own stadium currently, especially due to their location in London.
If Kretinsky is able to successfully block Staveley from getting involved at West Ham, then perhaps she will turn her attention to investing in Charlton.
