Paris FC are not content to simply make up the numbers in Ligue 1 next season. Fresh from stepping up to the French top flight for the first time in almost 50 years, the club is laying out an ambitious transfer strategy with the aim of swift adaptation and long-term stability among the elite.

With backing from Red Bull and new directors bringing lessons from leading European set-ups, Paris FC are poised to invest significantly in their playing squad. Reports indicate a transfer budget of €70-80 million, which could rise as high as €100 million if recruitment needs dictate. This financial commitment underlines a clear intent to compete, not just survive.

A statement signing in attack has become the chief priority. Paris FC’s leadership believe a reliable number nine is essential to match the intensifying demands of Ligue 1. Among the names under close consideration is Lassine Sinayoko. The 25-year-old Malian striker enjoyed an eye-catching campaign for Auxerre, tallying five goals with eight assists. With his contract entering its final year—and Sinayoko declining to extend—it is understood that both he and his club are open to a move. Sinayoko is seen as fitting the ambitious profile Paris FC want to project on their return to the top tier.

The shortlist does not end there. Paris FC are also tracking Lucas Stassin, an emerging forward at Saint-Étienne, whose progress has drawn attention from clubs in France and abroad, including Lille, Brighton, Brentford, Stuttgart, and Benfica. However, the principal target for the striker role appears to be a promising Canadian currently at Union Saint-Gilloise, valued at about €6 million. The interest from Paris FC is matched by other Ligue 1 sides, notably Lille, where squad restructuring is under way following the departure of key forwards.

President Pierre Ferracci has set out a measured but purposeful vision, drawing parallels with the developmental approach of Atalanta while referencing the experience and support brought by influential new stakeholders. Ferracci summarised the plan: “The objective is simple: first, establish ourselves, then aim for the top half of the table.”

Any new arrivals will be expected to quickly adapt to Paris FC’s project. The club’s management view this summer window as an opportunity to bring in quality that not only ensures survival but also builds the foundation for sustainable progress. With resources in place and a new sporting vision, Paris FC’s moves in the market are likely to become one of the summer’s most closely watched storylines in France.
