América ‘to consider’ Alemao as plan B at centre-forward

América remain without any signings ahead of their Apertura 2026 opener, and are weighing a plan B for a centre-forward.

According to Fox Sports, Rayo Vallecano striker Alemao has been put forward by head coach Guillermo Almada as a good fit for América’s attack.

The club have long tracked Borja Iglesias of Celta de Vigo, though talks have not progressed while he is on World Cup duty with Spain.

Alemao, a Brazilian forward, has featured for several clubs and had a short stint at Pachuca that lasted two months before moving to Spanish football.

He played 40 matches last season and scored eight goals, a modest return for a centre-forward.

There is currently no suggestion of negotiations, but he appears to be another option for América’s attack.
