América to play 10 Azteca fixtures in Apertura 2026, some as nominal away ties | OneFootball

América will play 10 of their 17 regular-season fixtures at Estadio Azteca in Apertura 2026, though some will not be as the home side.

According to Americayya.net, the Apertura 2026 schedule was officially announced yesterday, with the season beginning on Thursday 16 July, a couple of days before the World Cup final.

The Águilas will close matchday one away to Querétaro at Estadio Corregidora on Saturday 18 July, kick-off at 21:00.

As hosts at the Azteca, they will welcome Santos, San Luis, Puebla, Xolos, Chivas, Monterrey, Pachuca and Toluca.

They will also play at the same venue against Atlante and Cruz Azul, designated as the administrative away team in both fixtures.

Next season América will share Estadio Azteca (Estadio Banorte) with Atlante and Cruz Azul, who have rented the stadium for their home matches.
