Amir Murillo struck against his former club as Besiktas moved clear of Marseille in the Europa League. According to L'Équipe, he spent two and a half years at OM before being sold in February for five million euros.
On Thursday, in the opening round of the Europa League league phase, the 30-year-old headed in on 59 minutes. He met captain Orkun Kökçü’s corner to put the side from Türkiye 3-1 ahead.
The goal probably hurt Marseille supporters.
On Wednesday night he said he was happy to see former team-mates again, even if it would be as opponents this time.
The full-back is Panamanian.
