Ruben Amorim has revealed the double blow that Noussair Mazraoui and Amad Diallo will miss Manchester United’s trip to Brentford.
Manchester United will aim to build on last weekend’s important win over Chelsea when they finish Brentford on Saturday lunchtime.
However, the Red Devils will be without Mazraoui and Diallo, limiting Amorim’s options. Mazraoui has been ruled out until after October’s international break, having been absent from training this week. Diallo is absent for personal reasons after a family bereavement.
“Noussair Mazraoui will be out until the international break,” Amorim said at his pre-match press conference.
“Amad is not with us as a member of his family passed away. We are giving all the support to Amad and understood he needed to return home”.
The fixture will see Bryan Mbeumo make his first return to Brentford. Mbeumo has made a promising start to his career at Old Trafford and Amorim said he was keen to bring in proven quality in the summer.
“It’s really important everything he brings. He is always there to help us, he runs a lot, he presses a lot. He is a different threat to last season. He takes set pieces. So I am really happy with him.
“That is also the good thing, to have time to get to know the player. It was important to bring players from our league so you can understand what they bring. But in the end, you never know, so we were lucky with Bryan.
“You can see that every player you want to buy in the Premier League is expensive so if you look to our moments last year, you want to take the less risky move and it’s really important to have quality players.”
