Amrabat joins Ajax on free transfer until 2028 | OneFootball

Ajax Amsterdam have signed Morocco international Sofyan Amrabat on a free transfer, with a contract running until 30 June 2028.

The Dutch club confirmed the agreement after the termination of his Fenerbahce deal, with the move taking effect immediately.

Amrabat, 30, began his senior career at Utrecht before moving to Feyenoord, then took his game abroad.

He subsequently had spells with Club Brugge, Hellas Verona, Fiorentina, Manchester United and Fenerbahce.

Last season he played in Spain with Real Betis. The midfielder also recently featured at the World Cup for a third time with Morocco.

The move brings him back to the Eredivisie, where he previously represented Utrecht and Feyenoord.
