She added that former team-mates in Europe have been curious about her return and are following Corinthians more closely. Proud of the project and the support of the Fiel, she highlighted a club capable of drawing 40,000 to the Arena.

This is her second spell with Corinthians. Between 2017 and 2018 she played 57 matches, 33 as a starter, with 43 wins, nine draws and five defeats, scoring eight goals. She lifted the 2017 Libertadores Feminina and the 2018 Brasileiro.

After leaving Parque São Jorge she spent eight seasons in Europe. Most notably at Benfica, where she won 10 trophies, she also featured for Paris Saint-Germain and Atlético de Madrid, remained in the Brazil squad and took silver at the Paris 2024 Olympics.

Her re-debut could come in the Copa das Campeãs. Corinthians face Gotham FC in a single-leg semi-final in London on 28 January at 9:30, Brasília time.
