Ancelotti trials Brazil XI to face India with Pedro up front | OneFootball

Carlo Ancelotti has sketched Brazil’s starting line-up to face India, with Flamengo striker Pedro in attack for the window’s final friendly.

According to Coluna Do Fla, Friday’s session saw Pedro included in the XI Ancelotti trialled, pointing to an opportunity against India on Saturday three.

During this FIFA window, he featured for a few minutes in the first meeting with Australia, then remained on the bench in the second. Pedro was part of Ancelotti’s first call-up for the 2030 World Cup cycle and, although tipped for this year’s World Cup in the United States, he did not make the final list.

Speaking on Friday, Ancelotti contrasted Pedro and Endrick, describing Endrick as a powerful young talent and Pedro as very experienced, saying the Flamengo No nine adds significant experience.

Probable Brazil XI: Pedro Morisco, Matheuzinho, Marquinhos, Arthur Dias, Douglas Santos, Danilo, Bruno Guimarães, Gabriel Bontempo, Estevão, Pedro, Vini Júnior.

Samuel Lino is also in the squad and is likely to start on the bench. After the friendly, the pair will return to Brazil to play for Flamengo against Santos on Thursday eight in the Brasileirão. Brazil v India kicks off at 11h Brasília time at the Salt Lake Stadium in Calcutta, with Rede Globo, SporTV and GETV on YouTube broadcasting.
