Anderlecht looking to replace Nathan Saliba with Gil Vicente midfielder | OneFootball

After losing Nathan Saliba to Villarreal during the transfer window, Anderlecht are in the market for a replacement. According to HLN, Anderlecht are looking into the possibility of signing Santi Garcia from Portuguese side Gil Vicente. The Portuguese side are reportedly looking for a fee in excess of €10m, although they are now said to be willing to sell for slightly less. Either way, Gil Vicente are hoping that Garcia will be the most expensive outgoing transfer in the clubs history.

Garcia trained in Spain with Getafe, but only made one appearance for the first team. In 2024 he left Spanish football to join Gil Vicente on a free. Garcia has been a regular for the side ever since, playing 30 games in his first season with four goals and two assists. Last season was a real breakout campaign for the 24-year-old midfielder, who scored six goals and grabbed three assists in 34 games.
