Villarreal ‘agree’ €15 million deal for Nathan Saliba from Anderlecht | OneFootball

Villarreal have agreed a deal with Anderlecht to sign Nathan Saliba for 15 million euros plus add-ons, including a sell-on clause.

Fabrizio Romano first reported the agreement on X.

The 22-year-old Canada international was a leading target at La Cerámica, and talks quickened after the Belgian side lowered initial demands that were close to 20 million euros.

Saliba played at this summer’s World Cup with Canada, joined Anderlecht a year ago from CF Montréal and was contracted there until 2029. His youth, athleticism and ball-winning fit the Submarino’s policy.

His arrival will give Iñigo Pérez a fifth midfield option, alongside Pape Gueye, Santi Comesaña, Carlos Maciá and Alassane Diatta.

Saliba is due in Vila-real in the coming hours for a medical and to finalise the move. The plan is for him to travel on Friday to Vitoria for the third round of LaLiga EA Sports to integrate with the group and meet new team-mates, and he already knows compatriots Tani Oluwaseyi and Tajon Buchanan.
