Francis Amuzu has rejected a new contract offered to him by Anderlecht and has told them that he wants to leave for Nice.

Nice, Nottingham Forest and Rangers have all been interested in signing the 22-year-old this summer and the French club looked set to win the battle for his signature when reports emerged that an €8.5 million deal had been agreed with Anderlecht.

That didn’t prove to be the case though with Sacha Tavolieri reporting that the Belgian club rejected an offer from them that included €8 million upfront and up to €2 million more in bonuses.

The journalist states that they have since offered their player a new, improved contract, but he has turned it down and has told them that he wants to leave for Nice. Still though, they apparently won’t accept an offer unless it sees them get €10 million upfront for him.

Amuzu has already agreed personal terms with the Ligue 1 side and is now just waiting for the two clubs to come to an agreement.
