Anderson Daronco to referee Santos v São Paulo at Morumbis | OneFootball

Fifa-listed referee Anderson Daronco, 45, will take charge of Santos v São Paulo at Morumbis on Saturday, 31, at 20:30, in the sixth round of the Paulistão.

According to Diario Do Peixe, the assistants will be Rafael da Silva Alves and Tiago Augusto Kappes Diel, with Rodrigo Nunes de Sá overseeing VAR.

Last year he handled three Santos games in the Brasileiro, a 1-0 win over Vitória, a 1-1 draw with Fortaleza and a 3-0 defeat to Ceará. The previous year in Série B he oversaw losses to Novorizontino, 3-1, and Avaí, 1-0.

In 2023 he worked six Série A fixtures, including home wins over América-MG and Vasco, a draw at Corinthians and a defeat at Red Bull Bragantino. He was also VAR assistant for the 0-0 draw with Palmeiras.

There were flashpoints, with Vasco protesting a booking for Soteldo for stepping on the ball and Lucas Lima's dismissal. Against Corinthians he awarded the penalty that allowed Mendoza to equalise.

In 2022 he oversaw a 0-0 draw with Fluminense at the Maracanã, where a late Angulo penalty appeal was rejected, 2-1 home defeats by Flamengo and Goiás and a 3-2 win at Atlético-GO. He also refereed 2021, 2020 and 2019 assignments, including red-card-affected away losses at Cruzeiro and Athletico-PR in 2019.
