André Almeida has rejoined Valencia training in Paterna after three days away while his proposed move to Swansea was protected. The transfer has been paused and the midfielder is back on the market.
According to Superdeporte, the Portuguese returned to the group after he halted his exit to the British club despite everything being agreed.
Valencia remain perplexed. Almeida had asked to leave and for offers to be accepted, and so far the only concrete bid has come from Swansea. The club had expected his approval, pointing to a renewed deal with a pay rise, the number 10 shirt and ample opportunities.
The player is waiting for Celta Vigo or another suitor to step forward, but that has not happened. There has been no call, let alone an offer, from Celta.
For any Vigo move, he needs Celta to offload Moriba or Vecino and then commit. He does not want to play for Valencia or for Swansea.
