André Almeida has set out his intention to remain at Valencia next season. His future is uncertain, with the club to study any summer offers with a view to an exit despite his deal running until June 2029.

The 25-year-old said in a social media post that he will keep working and improving to help Valencia return to where it belongs, signalling his aim to stay in black and white.

Under Peter Lim’s administration, limited extraordinary income means signings and departures must align with the budget authorised by the majority shareholder. Valencia also want attacking midfield cover before approving any sale, with Filip Ugrinic yet to fully convince.

After the 2-3 home defeat by Celta on 5 April, Almeida was withdrawn on 63 minutes and then featured only in stoppages. He played six minutes at Girona, seven at Real Sociedad and one at Barcelona, and has been among those most affected by Carlos Corberán’s choices.

An under-21 Portugal international, the former Vitória de Guimarães midfielder has struggled to showcase his quality since arriving in 2022. In LaLiga this season he totalled 1,016 minutes with no goals and two assists. He plans to report back in July for pre-season.
