André Horta questioned Benfica move, asked: "Eu vou para ali fazer o quê?"

André Horta has recalled doubting his switch to Benfica while at Vitória de Setúbal, unsure he would break into a side who were champions three seasons running.

According to Glorioso 1904, the 29-year-old Almería midfielder even asked, "Eu vou para ali fazer o quê?" as he weighed up the step.

He felt players in his role at the time were better, and questioned where a 19-year-old from Vitória de Setúbal would fit, stressing Benfica should field the best.

Horta made 16 appearances for Benfica, scoring one goal and recording one assist, and won the Campeonato Nacional, Taça de Portugal and Supertaça Cândido de Oliveira.

This season he has 453 minutes across 11 games for Almería, and is valued at 2 million euros. After leaving Benfica he played for Braga, Los Angeles and Olympiacos, where he was a team-mate of Chiquinho.
