Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana is not giving up hope of resurrecting his career at Old Trafford following his loan in Turkey, according to the i Paper.

The Man United star will spend the season with Super Lig club Trabzonspor, but he is ready to go to another Premier League side to keep his English dream alive.

Onana joined Man United to provide stability but struggled, making several high-profile errors between the sticks.

The Red Devils had no choice but to sign Senne Lammens, who has taken the Man United number one shirt thanks to some excellent performances.

However, Onana still feels he can wrestle back a starting berth as he is quietly putting together a string of impressive performances.

The 29-year-old has kept three clean sheets in eight league appearances. Onana will feel his excellent performances have earned him a second chance to prove his mettle at Man United.

Onana is a busted flush

Onana’s dream of returning to Manchester United is a non-starter.

The numbers may look tidy on paper, yet anyone who watched him week in, week out knows the truth. He never inspired confidence.

His highlight reels mask his shaky command of the box, erratic decision-making, and costly lapses that repeatedly put United in trouble.

He had two full seasons to make the position his own and failed to do so.

United must now be ruthless. The future lies with Lammens, whose composure, presence and reliability have already raised the level of the entire back line.

Persisting with Onana, who reportedly earns €230,769 per week, will only stall that progress.

The club should be looking to move him on permanently in the summer, allowing him to find a new landing spot where he can rebuild his career away from Old Trafford.
