Palmeiras returned to training at the Academia de Futebol on Sunday after Saturday’s win over Mirassol in the Campeonato Paulista, with fresh updates from the medical department.
According to Globo.com, Andreas Pereira has progressed after missing the match with a shoulder trauma, completing field work with the club’s health and performance staff and raising hopes of a swift comeback.
Vitor Roque felt knee pain during the Mirassol game and had tests on Sunday morning. He will be re-evaluated in the afternoon, with a concrete outcome expected on Monday.
After the match, Roque left Arena Barueri walking normally, a sign that the issue may not be serious, although the club is not offering any diagnosis before the results arrive.
Felipe Anderson, Figueiredo and Lucas Evangelista continued their physical transition work and are moving closer to rejoining full training with the squad.
Saturday’s starters undertook indoor recovery, while the rest focused on build-up patterns and movement before a five-a-side technical session on a reduced pitch.
Palmeiras now prepare to face Novorizontino away on Tuesday at 20:00 Brasília time in the fourth round of the Paulistão.
