Scans clear Vitor Roque of injury, Palmeiras wrap up preparations

Palmeiras concluded their preparations on Monday morning (19th) at the Football Academy for the match against Novorizontino, scheduled for Tuesday (20th) at 8 PM, at Estádio Jorge Ismael de Biasi, in Novo Horizonte (SP), for the fourth round of the Campeonato Paulista. Undefeated in the competition, the Verdão has defeated Portuguesa, Santos, and Mirassol, all by a score of 1-0.

After activation at the center of excellence, the green-and-white squad carried out technical and tactical activities under the guidance of Abel Ferreira's coaching staff. On a separate field, Lucas Evangelista, Felipe Anderson, Figueiredo, and Andreas Pereira, who are still in the physical transition process, participated in technical work in a reduced space with youth team athletes.

Forward Vitor Roque, meanwhile, underwent tests last Sunday (18th) and no injury was found in his right knee. The number 9 followed an individualized schedule with physical preparation on the field.

A standout in the victory over Mirassol on Saturday (17th), left-back Arthur commented on his debut in the professional team.

First of all, I thank God for having this opportunity and Professor Abel for giving me the chance to debut in the professional team. I started the year in the Copinha, was very focused with the Under-20 boys, and always kept myself prepared in case opportunities arose. The Under-20 coach congratulated me, saying that I was prepared, so it was a huge happiness for me to start the year with this change of pace.

The young player also highlighted the support received from more experienced teammates.

During the week, the guys were helping, knowing that I was going to debut. Many told me to stay calm, that they would be there with me because they know how nervous the debut day is. But, thank God, I was able to do everything naturally and calmly and help Palmeiras win against Mirassol.

Arthur was publicly praised by Abel Ferreira, who highlighted the quality of the left-back's passes. The player celebrated the recognition.

It's a huge happiness to see the professor praising you to the press, to everyone watching the interview. Whether you like it or not, it's my work being rewarded and it shows that I'm doing my job right.

Looking ahead to the next round's match, the Academy Graduate, who joined the club in 2017, emphasized respect for the opponent.

We know that the Novorizontino team is qualified, always doing well in Serie B, showing great work. We are preparing well, seeing what the professor has to tell us so we can play a great game.

The recent history is favorable to Palmeiras. The club is undefeated in 11 away matches against Novorizontino, with six wins and five draws since the last defeat in 1990.
