Andreas Pereira will miss Palmeiras’ Libertadores quarter-final first leg against LDU at Nubank Parque after receiving a Conmebol suspension.

According to Globo.com, the midfielder was sent off in the 1-1 draw with Cerro Porteño in the round-of-16 first leg in São Paulo and served an automatic ban in the return, which sealed progress.

Conmebol has extended the punishment to two matches, judging that Pereira committed aggression in an incident with Jorge Morel. He attempted to free himself with a slap that was deemed intentional.
