Andreia Faria seals Saudi league with Al Nassr to complete debut-season treble | OneFootball

Andreia Faria has won the Saudi league with Al Nassr, completing a treble in her first season after leaving Benfica last summer.

According to Glorioso 1904, the title was confirmed on Thursday, 26 March, when Al Nassr won 4-1 away to Al Hilal.

Al Hilal are coached by Portuguese manager Luís Andrade and their squad includes former Benfica player Jéssica Silva.

The result clinched the championship with two fixtures still to play, and Faria’s side have recorded 11 wins from 12 league matches so far.

Lifting the league trophy added to earlier triumphs in the Cup and the Super Cup, sealing a clean sweep in her debut campaign.

In a recent interview, the attacking midfielder said Benfica remains her home after eight successful years and many happy moments, adding she would not have been unhappy had she stayed but saw Al Nassr as the next step and a new adventure she wanted.
