Marseille’s 21-year-old Ivorian forward Ange Lago is set to leave on a free, with a move close to completion.

As reported by La Provence, Dijon in Ligue 2 is his chosen destination.

Lago scored eight goals in 20 National 2 matches last season. He was the first-team’s third-choice striker behind Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Amine Gouiri in the second half of the campaign, making two appearances.

He featured sparingly this summer despite scoring in a friendly against Yamoussoukro. Talks between the clubs accelerated on Thursday evening and a deal is now imminent.

He will be released from his contract to sign in Burgundy. Marseille will retain half of any future sell-on fee and a buy-back clause set at more than three million euros.
