Al Ahly winger Mahmoud Hassan Trezeguet was forced off injured during CAF Champions League match against JS Kabylie.

Injury blow for Al Ahly

Al Ahly suffered injury concern after Mahmoud Hassan Trezeguet picked up problem during CAF Champions League clash with JS Kabylie.

The two teams met in matchday 5 of the group stage but the game took worrying turn for the Egyptian champions before half-time.

Trezeguet signaled discomfort and was seen holding his hamstring as play continued.

Substitution before the break

Moments before the end of first half, Al Ahly’s medical staff entered the pitch to assess the player.

After brief treatment, it became clear that Trezeguet could not continue.

Medical update awaited

Al Ahly’s team doctor later confirmed that Trezeguet felt pain in his hamstring which led to the decision to substitute him.

The medical staff explained that the player will undergo scans after the team returns to Cairo to determine the severity of the injury.
