New Real Madrid head coach Xabi Alonso has made the call to draft another member of the club’s youth setup into his travelling squad bound for the Club World Cup.

That’s according to Blancos insider Javier Rodríguez Pascual, who points towards Youssef Enriquez Lekhedim as the player in question.

Youssef, better known as ‘Yusi’ amongst those of a Real Madrid persuasion, is a 19-year-old defender, who generally operates at left-back.

The youngster has long been considered a potential star of the future in Spain’s capital, lauded particularly for his attacking capabilities.

Yusi was called up for first-team duties by Carlo Ancelotti on a number of occasions this past season, a further testament to his stellar talents.

And as alluded to above, if the latest word stemming from the Spanish media on Monday is anything to go by, then such abilities soon look set to be recognised once more.

As per a report from the aforementioned Javier Rodríguez Pascual:

‘Yusi will also be going to the Club World Cup with Real Madrid. Xabi Alonso already coached him in the U14 A team.’

Yusi will join a whole host of La Fábrica graduates in making the trip to the USA this month.
