Ansu Fati in line for Monaco return against Nantes

Ansu Fati, 23, is poised to rejoin AS Monaco’s first team, with the Barcelona loanee in contention to face FC Nantes on Friday.

According to Get French Football News, Sébastien Pocognoli said Fati completed the full session on Wednesday ahead of the Nantes fixture.

He sustained a calf injury during the 4-0 win over Stade Rennais, going off at half-time, but has now fully recovered.

The forward then missed Monaco’s last two games through injury, a Coupe de France defeat to RC Strasbourg Alsace and a weekend draw with OGC Nice.

Christian Mawissa trained on Wednesday but did not finish the session, and Monaco are adopting a cautious approach with the former Toulouse FC defender, who is not in line to feature.
