UEFA confirmed that Anthony Taylor will take charge of FC Porto’s Europa League last 16 second leg against Stuttgart at Estádio do Dragão on Thursday at 20:00.
The 47-year-old, an international since 2013, will be assisted by Gary Beswick and Adam Nunn. Michael Salisbury will serve as VAR, supported by French official Jérôme Brisard, with Darren England as fourth official.
It will be Taylor’s fifth Porto assignment, following a friendly win over Napoli and three Champions League ties. Those brought defeats to Besiktas in 2017/18 and Barcelona in 2023/24, and a win over Bayer Leverkusen in 2022/23.
Porto welcome Stuttgart, featuring Portuguese forward Tiago Tomás, holding a 2-1 lead from the first leg in Germany.
Elsewhere in the competition, Portuguese referee Tiago Martins has been appointed VAR for Roma v Bologna at the Stadio Olimpico, a match to be refereed by Romanian Istvan Kovács.
