Anton Stach has posted a worrying image of his swollen right ankle after Leeds United’s FA Cup quarter-final shootout win at West Ham.

The midfielder was forced off in the 39th minute after a heavy Max Kilman challenge, having got a shot away before rolling his ankle. He briefly returned, then was withdrawn for Brenden Aaronson. After the win, Daniel Farke said it was probably a ligament injury and that Leeds would assess it, while hoping it was not too bad.

Stach later reshared the club’s celebration post with the caption ‘What an Easter Sunday’. He then uploaded a photo of his right ankle looking very swollen and added the words ‘stop acting’, which appeared to suggest his reaction had been questioned.

Leeds will assess Stach once the swelling subsides this week. He is now a major doubt to face Manchester United next Monday.

In further setbacks, Joe Rodon appeared to roll his ankle after landing awkwardly when challenging in the West Ham box and was replaced by Sebastiaan Bornauw. Noah Okafor also went off late on with cramps after his lengthy absence, and Farke noted there is time before the next game for checks.
