Former Roma player Antonio Cassano took issue with Paulo Dybala’s sudden turnaround and decision to stay in the capital.

Cassano spoke about the story linked to Paulo Dybala in the program “Viva el Futbol” which he hosts together with Lele Adani and Nicola Ventola.

The former striker did not look favorably on the decision that the Argentine star made after the offer arrived from Saudi Arabia.

“Dybala involuntarily scored an own goal. Why? He gave the OK to negotiate then at a certain point he decided to stay,” he said.

“Instead, he should have understood that Soulé, who was adapted to the left with Empoli, must play on the right. By doing this, Dybala hurt Roma. Obviously people are happy but he has become a big problem.”

“If he doesn’t play and Roma loses, people will say it’s De Rossi’s fault. He agreed to negotiate and if the Arab team had given him all the money requested he would have left.”

“People like him are the ones I personally hate and should not be considered heroes. I also refused a lot of money, I had a 6-year contract with Real Madrid and then I went to Sampdoria to get half of what I was earning at the time but I’m not a hero.”
