Bournemouth confirmed on Saturday the signing of Antonio Silva from Benfica in a €30m deal. The club said the Portuguese centre-back has signed a five-year contract to 2031.
The package comprises €25m plus €5m in add-ons. Silva, 22, arrives to reinforce the back line after Marco Senesi’s move to Tottenham.

He has played about 235 matches for Benfica and was a mainstay of their defence.
He was voted Defender of the Season in 2022-23, when he won the Portuguese title with his formative club.
Silva has 20 caps for Portugal, featured at the 2022 World Cup, and was not selected for the 2026 edition.
