Recent performances from Real Madrid have left a strong impression on club president Florentino Perez.

In fact, the team’s overall improvement, especially against Manchester City and Elche, the involvement of young academy players and the visible physical progress of the squad have all contributed to a growing sense of confidence in Arbeloa’s project.

All eyes on Arbeloa

The outlet mentions that for Perez, Arbeloa has always been a coach worthy of patience and trust.

The former Real Madrid defender built his coaching career within the club’s youth system, where he worked his way through several levels before eventually reaching the first team.

His development as a coach has been closely monitored by the club’s leadership.

Despite receiving criticism in certain moments, particularly from those who believe his loyalty to the club helped him reach the first team, Arbeloa’s trajectory has been viewed positively by many within the organisation.

There is work to do

Before making a decision, the results in the coming weeks will play a crucial role in determining his long-term future.

For now, Real Madrid have already been eliminated from the Copa del Rey, but they remain very much alive in both La Liga and the UEFA Champions League.

One of the most important tests will be the upcoming second leg against Manchester City.

According to reports, Arbeloa’s chances of staying next season will increase even further if Real Madrid remain competitive in the title race until the final weeks of the La Liga campaign and deliver a strong performance in key matches.

For now, the momentum is clearly shifting in Arbeloa’s favour.

That means if Real Madrid continue building on their recent performances, Arbeloa could soon move from being a temporary solution to a long-term option on the club’s bench.
