Archie Gray, Erling Haaland and England send messages to James Trafford after Leeds move from Man City | OneFootball

James Trafford has joined Leeds United from Manchester City in a £40m deal, becoming the club’s record signing and new number one. The move drew messages from Erling Haaland, Archie Gray and England.

The 23-year-old moved to City for £31m last summer and initially appeared set to become first choice, only for Gianluigi Donnarumma to arrive and take the role. Trafford made four Premier League appearances, was City’s cup keeper as the club won the FA Cup and Carabao Cup.

On Instagram, Trafford shared photos in Leeds colours at Elland Road and of his contract signing, writing: “Marching on Together, let’s do something special.”

Haaland replied: “Good luck brother let’s gooooo.”

Former Leeds player Gray, a team-mate of Trafford with England’s under-21s, added “good luck mate” with yellow and blue hearts.

Morgan Rogers, Elliot Anderson and the official England Instagram account also posted good-luck messages.
