The footage shows the Atlético Madrid and Barcelona shirts that he has framed in his living room, next to that of Galatasaray, the team where he finished his career as a player.

According to Diario AS, he is to become the new sporting director of Galatasaray.

Turan joined Atlético in the summer of 2011. At the age of 24, he landed at the Calderón and went on to become a fan favourite over the next four years.

Under Diego Simeone, he won 1 Europa League, 1 Spanish Super Cup, 1 European Super Cup, 1 Copa del Rey and a league title.

He then departed for Barcelona, where despite winning a league, two Copa del Reys, a Spanish Super Cup and a Club World Cup, he never made the impact that he was expected to.
