FIFA has confirmed sanctions over an ugly melee sparked by several Argentina players after the World Cup final, with punishments largely targeting the Albiceleste.
The decision comes one month after the match, which delivered Spain their second star.

Leandro Paredes has been banned for 10 matches, while Nahuel Molina receives seven.
Roberto Ayala, Lionel Scaloni’s assistant and former Valencia player, is suspended for three matches.
There is a one-match ban for Thiago Almada, and Spain’s Gavi also receives one.
A substantial fine has been imposed on the AFA for a Malvinas-related banner shown after the semi-final win against England.
