Everton striker Armando Broja has returned to light training in Abu Dhabi with the rest of the Toffees first-team squad, according to Bobble.
The reliable Everton insider (followed by the likes of Alan Myers, Fabrizio Romano, Jason Burt and Christopher Beesley on social media) reported via X on Friday afternoon that the 23-year-old is now doing light work with others at their warm-weather camp.
Broja sustained an ankle ligament injury when the Blues played Peterborough in the FA Cup third-round last month and manager David Moyes claimed he was going to be sidelined for up to three months.
However, the Albania international could return to action ahead of schedule in a potential huge boost for Everton.
Broja moved to the Goodison Park club on loan from Chelsea last summer and had played just six times across all competitions before injury struck.
An Achilles injury suffered during pre-season saw a proposed move to Ipswich Town fall through before he joined Everton, and Moyes will hope he can overcome his injury woes and help his side in the coming months.
An anterior cruciate ligament injury in December 2022 kept Broja out of action until September 2023, and the loan move to Everton was supposed to help him get back on track following his fitness struggles.
The Toffees are back in action next Saturday with a trip to Molineux to face Wolverhampton Wanderers before hosting West Ham United a week later.
The international break follows afterwards, which could give Broja enough time to speed up his recovery process.
Everton have won four of their last seven Premier League games, drawing the other three, and while they are 15 points above the relegation places, Moyes will want to ensure they keep winning as they can still secure a place in Europe next season, with 15 points currently separating them from the top-four.
