As reported by Florian Plettenberg, Stade Rennes striker Arnaud Kalimuendo wants to join Eintracht Frankfurt.
After completing the signing of Saša Kalajdžić from Wolves on loan, Eintracht Frankfurt are looking to boost their striking options even further and have identified the 21-year-old French international as their ideal candidate.
Though Frankfrant are yet to submit a formal offer for the forward, talks are ongoing, and there is a verbal agreement between Kalimuendo to sign a contract until 2029 with The Eagles.
From the player’s point of view, it’s clear. He wishes to join Frankfurt this winter.
Frankfurt and Rennes are now in negotiations over the structure of the deal, which could be in the form of a loan with an obligation to buy worth €23m.
Currently sat in 6th position, Frankfurt will look to solidify a European place in the second half of the season.
Their first game back is a massive tie away at RB Leipzig on January 13th.
