Arne Slot says midfielder Ryan Gravenberch was taken off in the defeat to Manchester United because of an ankle injury.
The Dutchman was substituted off shortly after the hour mark in the 2-1 loss and discussing Gravenberch’s injury, the Liverpool boss said: “I took him off because he twisted his ankle. Is he an injury concern? That’s what we have to wait and see tomorrow, but we have to play in two days again.”
Cody Gakpo had equalised following Bryan Mbeumo’s early opener but Harry Maguire headed in a late winner to hand Liverpool a fourth defeat in a row.
But Slot is confident his side will turn their form around based on the number of chances they are creating.
He said: “Do we lose confidence? I cannot see it yet, because every single game we’ve lost we were able to create in the second half an unbelievable amount of chances.
“If you look at the three games we lost in the Premier League, if you put all the highlights behind each other you would say it is hardly possible that they lose this game.
“So, if we can keep producing what we are doing and do a few things a little bit better, then there is every reason to expect that we start to win football games again.”
