According to reports from Caught Offside (via VoetbalPrimeur), Arne Slot’s Liverpool are monitoring David Hancko’s situation at Feyenoord.
The Reds are interested in a potential summer swoop for the Slovakian defender, who has yet to make a decision about his future in Rotterdam. Hancko’s name is also on transfer shortlists at Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur, Bayern Munich and Juventus – who came close to signing him in the winter period.
According to Italian newspaper Tuttosport, Hancko said ‘yes’ to joining Juve back in December. However, despite the Serie A side reportedly ready to offer the defender a contract until 2029, worth €2.5m per year in earnings, Feyenoord just managed to keep their star centre-back.
Hancko joined Feyenoord from Sparta Prague back in 2022 for just €8m. Since then he’s gone on to play a pivotal part in their success, featuring 117 times. The Slovakia international continues as one of Juventus’ top targets as they look to strengthen at the back, and Thiago Motta is said to be a big fan of the player.
The Slovakian has a contract at De Kuip until June 30, 2028, although it remains to be seen if Feyenoord heads won’t be turned if a big enough offer comes in.
