He had been among those who could have left, with his contract running to 2027, but he stayed and made no move during the window.

He was not selected for the World Cup with Norway, despite featuring in qualifying. That allowed him to attend the birth of his first child in early June.

Dönnum was pictured on 10 May as Toulouse beat Lyon 2-1. He will follow a tailored programme on his return.
