Flamengo used the international break to prioritise recovery, with Arrascaeta to undergo left wrist surgery and others edging back.
According to Globo.com, Plata has left the treatment room after a functional muscle issue, returned to group training on Wednesday and could face Santos on the eighth of October.
Evertton Araújo is working on grass again, building strength and confidence after a grade three injury to his left adductor. He will be reintegrated gradually as he responds.
Ayrton Lucas, pain free after a grade two problem in the back of his right thigh, is close to starting on-pitch work. His comeback could arrive in October, while Evertton is pencilled in for November, both dependent on progress.
Arrascaeta was injured in a friendly for Uruguay, flew into Rio on Wednesday and will be admitted on Thursday morning. He will repeat tests before surgery to realign the bone and fit a plate with screws.
Flamengo will monitor him daily, using X-rays to map a return. The initial estimate is six to eight weeks, possibly shorter with a strong response. He can maintain conditioning, but cannot play with a protective cast due to immobilisation from armpit to wrist.
The squad had four days off before resuming on Wednesday and returns on the fifth to finalise work for the Brasileiro trip to Vila Belmiro. Beyond that game, October brings Fluminense, Estudiantes on 15 and 22, Bahia away on 18, plus Atlético-MG and Vasco.
